Getting to the Start Line: Parking and Road Closures
The race starts at 8:30 sharp on Pacific Boulevard @ Davie Street in the eastbound lanes. Parking and road closures will be in effect from 1:00 AM on Drake Street from Pacific Boulevard to Marinaside Circle and from 5:30 AM on Pacific Boulevard from Granville Street to Nelson Street. You can get complete road and parking closure information on our race website. Follow the links to Advisory Notice on the “First Half” Half Marathon webpage at www.pacificroadrunners.ca/firsthalf.
There is very limited parking under the Roundhouse Community Centre. Consider taking TransLink’s Canada Line train to Yaletown/Roundhouse Station (just a block from the start line) or carpooling if possible. Arrive early if driving as you may have to park some distance away. Please remember – leave nothing of value visible in your vehicle.
When in the Roundhouse or in line at the portable toilets on Pacific Boulevard, give yourself sufficient time to move to and position yourself in the start line area.
The fee for the 2018 edition of the First Half Half Marathon is $72 Canadian (taxes included).
Water Stations and First Aid
Water and sports performance drink will be available at 4 locations along the route between the 2 and 11 mile markers, as well as at the finish.
First aid will be located along the course and at the finish line.
Washrooms will be clearly signed. They are available inside the Roundhouse Community Centre and there will be additional Port-a-Potties outside on Drake Street, giving easy access to the start line. Line up early, as there is always a rush just before start time.
There are also public washrooms around the course.
