Everyone is welcome for our 2014 FREE Fall Running Seminar.
The seminar will be on Wednesday October 29th, 7 pm at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown.
This year we are delighted to announce our featured speakers are:
- Lewis Morrison from Peak Centre for Human Performance
- Sarah J. Cuff, a registered holistic nutritionist and founder of Eat 2 Run Sports Nutrition
- Newton Hoang, a certified natural running coach.
Topics covered will include: “Heart rate based and lactate based zone training”, “Fueling for optimal race performance”, and “Finding the all elusive balance between work, life and training”.
In past years we have done guaranteed entry giveaways (fee still applies) and charity auctions for entries into the race. This year we are going to be doing something slightly different. On the night of the seminar we will be offering 10 places in the race a week before general registration opens. If the places do not all go at the seminar then they will be opened up to the public the following morning.
Each entry will cost $200. We are donating the race fee, so all of that donation will go to the charity you choose from the following options. These charities have been chosen as they directly support local BC community and have proven themselves with the excellent work they do:
- North Shore Rescue
- Spinal Cord Injury BC
- Covenant House
- Camp Good Times, a camp for children with cancer and their families.
The seminar is free but we would like you to us know you’re coming by using with the “Join Us” or Facebook link above.
See you there!
